Looking backward.
I want you to look at me like you've never looked at me before. I want to be different, for better or for worse. Just look at me.

Written August 30th, an unusually cold night for the summer.
Cold hits my teeth and the sharp chill of winter rushes through them to the remainder of my glossy chalk bones. My ribs are crushed. I hear someone through the window talking on a cell phone. My lips don’t move. I feel a creature’s sharp teeth drag me lengthwise through gravel. I don’t belong outdoors.

Written August 19th, a day I was covered in color.
Give it up, my hands go loose. My muscles relax and it floats from my squishy, pink grasp. My eyelashes are wet and leave black lines where they fall and lay, and they rise up along with my gaze. Sky is grey today, just like the day, that other day the sky went grey. It leaks in pieces making my makeup run down low. I want you to know that I’m not bitter and that I didn’t mean it.

I see you in my sheets, I see you in my sleep, I see you through the mirror, you sing "we're not to steal". The only thing I'm scared of, is there a secret that you keep? I know where you are, I don't know where you are. Don't make the other wonder or the others might sting. Tell me what you're thinking, do not let me twist. Just look at the size of you.
I see you in my sheets, I see you in my sleep, I see you with something that's funny, I hear you and I almost weep. I see you from my steps, you're walking up my street, but just look at the size of you.

I hate when people cover this.
"Part of the trouble with the old haunting love, is that it fucks with your future loves, and can damn and/or ambush your relationships. Thats who this is about." - Bon Iver
